March President’s MessageGELSSA is Re-Energized! Welcome to the first issue of our newly redesigned monthly newsletter, The Gazette. Many of you may remember The Gazette from years past and it is time to bring it back to life in a new digital format to provide you with information on all that is happening with our great association!
As we move forward into the next chapter of our association's journey, I am excited to share some accomplishments that are already re-energizing our membership and driving us towards greater success. In February, we appointed Shannon Few as our new Executive Director. For years, we had been operating through the hard work and efforts of volunteers and the time has come to bring on a professional association management company with the relationships, resources, and experience to bring new life to GELSSA.
We have established three strategic pillars: Education, Legislation and Networking to catapult GELSSA forward and serve as the guiding force behind GELSSA’s endeavors, driving innovation, progress, and collective success. As of this week, we launched our new association management system and website www.gelssa.org (please be sure to update your bookmarks!). This system will revolutionize the way we operate, streamlining processes, enhancing communication, and ultimately providing a better experience and more value for all members. In April, we will also launch a companion GELSSA mobile app, providing members with easy access to resources, education, events, and networking opportunities.
By embracing new technologies, overhauling our back-office platforms, and modernizing our infrastructure, we are positioning ourselves for long-term growth and sustainability. But launching a new website, app and management system are just one part of our broader strategy to re-energize GELSSA. In the coming months, you can expect to see a renewed focus on our events, member engagement, valuable education, and strategic partnerships that will drive growth for GELSSA and our members.
Finally, I want to express my gratitude for your dedication and commitment to our association. Your passion and involvement are what make our organization thrive. I am incredibly excited about the journey ahead! Together, let's build a stronger, more vibrant association that truly reflects the spirit of our industry.
