Georgia Electronic Life Safety & Systems Association

July President's Message

Dear GELSSA Members and Friends,

Next week marks a pivotal moment for our association—and I hope you’ll be there to be part of it.

Our Q3 Membership Meeting is happening on Wednesday, August 6th, and we’re calling on all of our members to show up, get involved, and make your voice heard. One of the biggest items on the agenda is a vote on a proposed rebrand of our association to the Georgia Integrators Association—a name we believe better reflects the dynamic, evolving nature of our industry and the wide range of professionals we serve.

This vote represents a major step in shaping the future of our organization, and we hope to have a record turnout to ensure every member has a say. If you haven’t registered yet, please do so today—and don’t forget to grab your tickets for our GELSSA Night at the Braves Game immediately following the meeting.

Important note: Tickets for the Braves game will be distributed at the Q3 meeting, so you must attend to receive your game tickets!

We’re also in the midst of our Board of Directors election for the 2026 term. All primary member contacts should have received a ballot—if you haven’t voted yet, please take a few minutes to do so. Voting closes this Friday, August 1st, and we’ll be announcing the election results at the meeting next week.

This is one of those moments where your involvement truly matters—not just for what we’re doing today, but for what we’re building for the future of our association and our industry.

I look forward to seeing all of you next week. Let’s make it a record-breaking meeting!

Sincerely,

Brandon Shepard
GELSSA President
